If I had to pick an item to take to a desert island (aside from food, water and a boat obviously), it would be my cameras. Right now I'm using an Olympus ePL8 and a Lumix GX8. That's right, I'm a loud and proud micro-four-thirds nerd.

I'm rediscovering the joy of vintage lenses, like the dreamy swirly bokeh of the iconic Helios 44-2. But my trusty Olympus 25mm f1.8 is never far away.

Meet my alter ego, Loko Toybox - my creative space for sharing art toy photography. If you're not familiar with 'art toys', and let's face it most people aren't, it's a trend that emerged back in the 90's: Talented character designers worldwide began crafting soft vinyl figures in all sorts of unique and imaginative styles.

Not to be confused with their commercially successful counterpart, 'Funko Pop!' figures, art toys are original characters typically produced in short runs or as one-of-a-kind pieces.

I've been collecting since 2007, and they have been my muse for endless photo shoots both at home and in the great outdoors.
